2 arrested for fraud
Hyderabad police arrested a Nigerian and woman in connection with a fraud case. The arrested have been identified as Noberth Chukwuedo of Nigeria and Nem Muan Kim of Munirka living in New Delhi.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad police arrested a Nigerian and woman in connection with a fraud case. The arrested have been identified as Noberth Chukwuedo of Nigeria and Nem Muan Kim of Munirka living in New Delhi.
Police said Noberth created a fake Facebook account in the name of Felicia Issac of London and developed friendship with the complainant. With the help of the fake account he made the complainant believe that Felicia wanted to share huge sum of money with the complainant.
On January 19, the fraudster posing as Felicia informed the complainant that she was boarding a flight to India along with the money. On January 20, the complainant received a call from the fraudster saying that Felicia was caught by the Customs officials for possessing over luggage and a penalty of Rs 25,500 should be paid for her release, police said.
