Harish for creation of new ayacut under CADWAM
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Friday instructed the district authorities to prepare proposals for the stabilisation and creation of new ayacut under the centrally sponsored CADWAM ( Command Area Development and Water Management ) scheme which comes into effect from April this year.

Holding a review on Mission Kakatiya – phase three scheme with officials here, the Minister said that the government would present a report before the Union Ministry of Water Resources which holds a meeting on CADWAM on April 7 in New Delhi. He asserted the completion of localisation of ayacut immediately to get more funds from the Centre.
He also instructed the officials to complete the identification of water bodies to be revived under the Mission Kakatiya -3 at the earliest. Irrigation facility has been provided to 19 lakh acres after the revival of tanks under Mission Kakatiya 1 and 2 phases completed recently. The progress in Komarambheem and SRSP – stage 2 projects were also reviewed in the meeting.
