Bahunoothula Ramesh Kumar has become the first person from Telangana to hold the prestigious post of Director General of Naval Armament on Saturday. It may be noted here that the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of Ramesh Kumar, the Chief General Manager/SGM for promotion to the grade of Director General Armament Supply of Indian Naval Service in February. 

Huzurabad (Karimnagar): Bahunoothula Ramesh Kumar has become the first person from Telangana to hold the prestigious post of Director General of Naval Armament on Saturday. It may be noted here that the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of Ramesh Kumar, the Chief General Manager/SGM for promotion to the grade of Director General Armament Supply of Indian Naval Service in February.

Ramesh Kumar, who hails from Huzurabad in Karimnagar district joined the Indian Navy in 1983, completed his BTech from JNTU, Hyderabad and MTech from IIT, Kharagpur. He later did MSc (Strategic and Defence Studies) from Staff College in Wellington.

Hitherto he held the posts of General Manager NAD Karanaja and Sunabeda. It is learnt that he is the third Telugu person and the first person to hold the post from Telangana. Ramesh’s father B Jagannatha Naidu was an advocate and was sarpanch of Huzurabad for nearly two decades.
