Nizamabad and Adilabad record highest day temp of 420 Celsius

Hyderabad: The highest day temperature is likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at a few places in Telangana for the next two days, said the met department bulletin on Sunday. Dry weather prevailed in the State on Sunday.

The maximum temperature was above normal by 1.6 to 3 degree Celsius at many places. According to the bulletin, Nizamabad and Adilabad recorded the highest day temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, while Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar, Medak and Nalgonda recorded 41 degree Celsius each. Khammam and Ramagundam recorded 39 degree Celsius each.

The bulletin said the night temperatures recorded in the State were: Khammam 22, Medak 23, Adilabad, Bhadrachalam, Nalgonda 24 each, Hakimpet, Hanamkonda 25 each, Ramagundam 26, Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar 27 each, Nizamabad 29. According to the forecast, a trough runs from west Vidarbha to coastal Karnataka across Telangana and north interior Karnataka extending up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level.

It runs from Gangetic West Bengal to south Odisha extending up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level. Despite the trough, dry weather is likely to prevail in the State from April 3 to 6.
