Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) distributed the reconstituted developed plots at Uppal Bhagath to the farmers and awardees, who lost their land on acquisition under Musi Conservation and River Front Development.

Lottery of Allotment of Reconstituted Developed Plots of 600 square yard, 500 square yard and 300 square yard were given away. Speaking to The Hans India, HMDA Commissioner T Chiranjeevulu said Uppal Bhagath layout was notified for a residential colony in the year 2002 under the land acquisition model, but there were many agitations and other land issues in between. Around 1100 people were benefited, he added.

Member Estate, B. Rajesham said the farmers and the awardees have been compensated with 1000 square yard per acre. He further said drainage system connection, lights and roads have been laid.

There are 115 plots under 600 square yard, 176 plots under 500 square yard and 153 Plots under 300 square yard, he added.

Along with HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner T Chiranjeevulu, Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, B Rajesham, Land Acquisition Officer Gangadhar and other Staff of HMDA were present during the allotment of plots.
