A six-year-old boy and his five-year-old sister drowned in Buran Khan Tank under Balapur police station on Saturday. According to police, Mohd Ayan, a LKG student along with his sister Noorin Begum, both residents of Osman Nagar near Shaheen Nagar left their house on Saturday morning to a nearby grocery shop to buy biscuits.
Hyderabad: A six-year-old boy and his five-year-old sister drowned in Buran Khan Tank under Balapur police station on Saturday. According to police, Mohd Ayan, a LKG student along with his sister Noorin Begum, both residents of Osman Nagar near Shaheen Nagar left their house on Saturday morning to a nearby grocery shop to buy biscuits.
Upon noticing that the kids were missing, their father Mohd Asgar, who grew anxious, began searching for them in the locality. However, he was shocked to find both the kids drowned in the tank.
He immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital, but the doctors declared them brought dead. Police sent their bodies for post-mortem and began investigation into the issue.
