Liquor shops to be closed tomorrow
City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy on Monday issued orders directing the liquor outlets and toddy shops to keep their business closed from 6 am on April 5 to 6 am on April 6 on the account of Sri Rama Navami.
Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy on Monday issued orders directing the liquor outlets and toddy shops to keep their business closed from 6 am on April 5 to 6 am on April 6 on the account of Sri Rama Navami.
In a press release here, the Commissioner said that the closure of liquor outlets had been ordered with a view to maintain peace and tranquility. In a separate order, the police commissioner imposed traffic restrictions in Goshamahal and Sultan Bazaar traffic police station limits on April 5 in view of Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra.
The traffic restrictions will be in force on all roads leading to Mahakaleshwari Temple in Dhoolpet and Ram Mandir in Gowliguda since the procession starts in Dhoolpet and concludes at Gowliguda.
The police chief appealed to the people to cooperate with the police and take alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
