Protests greet Keshav Rao at OU
TRS MP K Keshav Rao on Tuesday faced embarrassment when the students of Osmania University greeted him with protests and slogans that resulted in a tense situation at the University. Keshav Rao had visited the campus to attend the alumni meeting of the old students of the University.
​Hyderabad: TRS MP K Keshav Rao on Tuesday faced embarrassment when the students of Osmania University greeted him with protests and slogans that resulted in a tense situation at the University. Keshav Rao had visited the campus to attend the alumni meeting of the old students of the University.
The TRS MP participated in a meeting in the chambers of the Arts College principal and later held discussions with the OU centenary celebrations committee. When he was coming out after the meeting, some students protested and raised slogans against him.
The students argued that it was three years since the TRS had come to power but it failed to start the process of recruitment. The students alleged that the TRS government withdrew some of the notifications issued for recruitment.
Keshav Rao tried to pacify the students asking them to have discussions peacefully. The students did not heed to the advice and continued to raise slogans. Meanwhile, the security personnel of Rao alerted the police, who took the students away from the place.
