Hyderabad: Government Whip Palla Rajeshwar Reddy on Wednesday alleged that T JAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram was aligning with BJP to stop 12 per cent reservations to Muslims.

Addressing a press conference at TRSLP office here, Rajeshwar Reddy said that Kodandaram met BJP leaders to create hurdles in TRS government's attempt to give 12 per cent reservations to Muslim in the state. However, he said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has devised a new strategy to give 12 percent reservations to Muslims and it could not be foiled.

Rajeshwar Reddy also ridiculed the preparatory plans of Congress and BJP for 2019 elections. He advised both the parties to plan for 2024 elections and stated that TRS would come back to power in 2019. He also dismissed the allegations of corruption against the TRS government and said that KCR has ensured a transparent and corruption-free administration.

The TRS leaders defended government's decision to shift Dharna Chowk from Indira Park to city's outskirts and stated that it was done in view of inconvenience being caused to general public. He said that the TRS government was not suppressing people's freedom of expression and added that a protest could be held at any designated place.
