Medha Patkar backs TJAC fight for people
Extending solidarity to Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof Kodandaram for fighting for the cause of people, farmers and youth in Telangana, noted social activist Medha Patkar said she would soon hold a meeting for uniting Telangana movement organisations and people’s associations. Medha Patkar made a visit to TJAC office and extended her support to Kodandaram.
Hyderabad: Extending solidarity to Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof Kodandaram for fighting for the cause of people, farmers and youth in Telangana, noted social activist Medha Patkar said she would soon hold a meeting for uniting Telangana movement organisations and people’s associations. Medha Patkar made a visit to TJAC office and extended her support to Kodandaram.
Later, she said the meeting would focus on preparing a plan of action for fighting for the people. She slammed the TRS government for suppressing the rally by unemployed youth proposed by the TJAC recently. Medha alleged that the TRS government was preventing protest rally of unemployed youth in the State.
The State government was adopting dictatorial methods to stifle the voice of people’s associations, she fumed. Medha also criticised that the government was forcibly taking lands from the people in the name of constructing projects.
