Hyderabad: Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, balladeer Gaddar, Justice Chandra Kumar, Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) chairman Prof M Kodandaram and other leaders were emerging as alternative forces in the State politics.

A forum would be formed after discussing means and ways to align together and come up as political force to reckon with, in the wake of people losing trust in ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Efforts were on to float a JAC to achieve social justice and discussions were going on whether to start it as a political union or in other form, he said. He said BC leader R Krishnaiah was also gearing up to wage a movement in the State.

Participating in a ‘Meet the Press’ programme organised at the Hyderabad Press Club by Telangana Working Journalists Federation (TWJF) here on Monday, Tammineni said his Padayatra had made the issue of Telangana development a topic of discussion. Development did not mean figures of GDP and inflation, he opined, and alleged that the conditions were same in Telangana State, which were there in the united Andhra Pradesh State.

The education system collapsed and the TRS government was behaving atrociously towards tribal people, he said. The farmers were suffering a lot as they were not in a position to get minimum support price and the same was informed to the State government through letters, he said.

Thammineni said that he had taken up Maha Jana Padayatra because of the aspirations of the Telangana people were not fulfilled and demanded that the State government prepare sub-plan according to the population basis.Nobody had questioned the Padayatra though the TRS leaders called upon the people to obstruct political awareness rally, and more so, people extended grand welcome everywhere, he said.
