Telangana Assembly special session on April 16 to take up Muslim quota bill

A special session of the Telangana State Assembly is likely to be held on April 16 to discuss the proposed bill on reservations for Muslims and also to pass the Goods and Sales Tax bill which has been approved by Parliament. The GST would come into force from July.

It is learnt that the special session would be held for two days. This issue is likely to figure at the cabinet meeting scheduled to meet on Wednesday evening at Pragathi Bhavan. Official sources said that the government would adopt a resolution on reservation to economically backward Muslims.
