Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Thursday said even if the TRS government passes the Muslim Reservations Bill in the State Assembly, the Central government will have to examine it from legal angle. The Union Minister while replying to a question posed during a press conference said BJP was against the reservations based on religion and reminded that even the courts had clearly said the reservations based on religion cannot be implemented.

The Union Minister said Telangana was given top priority in the allocation of funds to the tourism sector. Dattatreya said the government had allocated Rs 700 crore in the entire country and Telangana alone was given Rs 275 crore for various projects. He assured to provide assistance to the State government in getting funds for the government’s proposed Buddhist Circuit, Bhuvanagiri- Devarakonda projects. He said proposals were ready for including Kolanpak in the Swadeshi Darshan and wanted the government to have a project joining Kolanpak-Yadadri as a circuit.

He also assured to help the State government in getting Rs 6 crore for the renovation of Kolanpak Someshwar Swamy temple. Dattatreya said efforts were being made to provide connectivity to Yadadri from Secunderabad through MMTS.
