Hyderabad: The Met department on Friday warned of heat wave conditions likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of Telangana on April 16. It said the day temperatures on April 15 are likely to be above normal by two to three degrees Celsius.

They are likely to be above 40 degrees Celsius at many places in the State. Dry weather is likely to prevail from April 16 to 18.

The forecast said a low pressure area has formed over the South-east Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood on April 13 night. It became well marked over the region at 8.30 am on Friday.

The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to mid-tropospheric levels. It is very likely to concentrate into a depression during the next 36 hours and intensify further during subsequent 24 hours .The system is very likely to move north-northeastwards during the next 72 hours.

According to the Met department bulletin, during the last 24 hours the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad, Mahbubnagar and Nizamambad. The temperatures were appreciably above normal at one or two places in Telangana.
