Hyderabad: The Congress party has decided to launch a mass agitation against the TRS government from Monday. It will stage Satyagraha in protest against the shifting of ‘dharna chowk’ from Indira Park.

During a meeting with party leaders of Greater Hyderabad held on Saturday in Gandhi Bhavan, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy called upon party cadre to launch a massive movement against the TRS government to highlight its “anti-people policies.”

He accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of suppressing the democratic rights of the people and functioning in an autocratic manner. The Chief Minister became totally intolerant of anyone who opposed his policies.

Right from concealing information on important decisions, the TRS government was trying to impose its policies on the people.

Former Minister Danam Nagender, who has been assigned the responsibility of organising Satyagraha, said the agitation would be held in a peaceful manner.
