Protesting at the Ambedkar statue in Tank Bund, Congress PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy staged a Dharna demanding the Telangana government not to shift Dharna Chowk from Indira Park.

Reacting strongly against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Uttam Kumar Reddy claimed that the former is trying to supress democracy in Telangana. Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao attacked TRS government saying that is based on family politics and assured that Congress will once again form the government.

Congress leader Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that TRS government is suppressing the voice of opposition while Shabbir Ali that Dharna Chowk is the fundamental right of people to express their opinion but KCR has ruled it out as he is a dictator.

Police arrested Congress leaders Shabbir Ali, V Hanumantha Rao and Bhatti Vikramarka for launching protests without taking permission.
