Hyderabad: The Congress party, which takes jibes at TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu that he had come to power by backstabbing his father-in-law NT Rama Rao, on Monday asked TRS leader and Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao to do the same and pull down the government.

Former Union minister Sarvey Satyanarayana, while speaking at a dharna near Ambedkar Statue on Tank Bund to protest against shifting of dharna chowk, said that only two years was left for next elections and hence Harish Rao should “back stab” his uncle K Chandrasekhar Rao and pull down the government. He said the Congress party would support him. He further said that it was Congress which would be forming the next government in 2019.

Reacting to this in Jagtial, IT Minister K T Rama Rao said that the Congress has shown its true colours. “It (Congress) is frustrated and knows that it cannot come to power in near future and was hence its leaders were making all kinds of statements,” KTR said.

He said there was no question of Harish Rao joining Congress. He also said that there was no gap between him and Harish Rao and that KCR would be the chief minister for next ten years.
