Jeevan Reddy rails against KTR’s arrogant outbursts

Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) deputy leader T Jeevan Reddy lashed out at IT Minister K T Rama Rao for speaking ‘arrogantly’ against the Opposition leaders. He asked Rama Rao whether the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) had the capability to bury the Congress, which conceded Telangana State by respecting the sentiment of the people of Telangana.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Jeevan Reddy said the TRS leaders could not say the Congress did nothing when they exposed TRS government’s failures.

“The TRS leaders’ allegation that I contested election against TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao expecting a Minister post shows their ignorance. Both Rama Rao and his sister Kavitha have to learn about my political career with their father K Chandrasekhar Rao. I became an MLA much before Chandrashekar Rao and became a Minister much before him,” he said.
Finding fault with Rama Rao’s statement that he was elected carrying TRS kanduva, Jeevan Reddy countered the Minister not to forget the fact that Chandrashekar Rao won that election while carrying Congress kanduva.

Jeevan Reddy, who went to jail for Telangana State, asked Rama Rao and Kavitha how many times they went to jail for Telangana State. Jeevan Reddy also warned that he would table a privilege motion in the Assembly against Rama Rao. He said the TRS government had no moral right to continue in power as courts censured it several times. He also said Chandrashekar Rao was the only leader who had failed to pay tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar on Ambedkar’s birth anniversary.
