Hyderabad: City traffic police on Wednesday conducted a sensitisation programme for GHMC drivers. The programme had been conceived in the wake of a recent road accident in which four members of a family were killed and two injured when GHMC garbage lifting vehicle hit the two-wheeler.

The driver of the GHMC vehicle was found drunk at the time of accident. Keeping this in view, Hyderabad traffic police decided to conduct a sensitisation programme for all the GHMC drivers in a phased manner. Around 250 drivers attended the sensitisation programme.

The drivers were shown live accident videos and images of GHMC vehicles involved in traffic violations along with a power point presentation. Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Ravinder said the sensitisation programme will continue until all the drivers of GHMC take part in the programme.
