During the talk on ‘India in the Global Economy: Challenges and Opportunities for Hyderabad and Telangana’ organised by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), John Farrow, President of Econo Map Inc, emphasised on the potentiality of the people in the city by presenting successful attributes that in turn helps to mould into a global city.  

Hyderabad: During the talk on ‘India in the Global Economy: Challenges and Opportunities for Hyderabad and Telangana’ organised by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), John Farrow, President of Econo Map Inc, emphasised on the potentiality of the people in the city by presenting successful attributes that in turn helps to mould into a global city.

Farrow presented the key factors of shaping the global economy and emphasised on the potential of Hyderabad to become a global city and presented successful attributes of global cities and remarked on positioning of Hyderabad in Telangana. Farrow also suggested the means of attracting institutional investors to invest in infrastructure in Hyderabad city.

She discussed the global financial crisis and its implications, nationalist and populist politics that are reshaping the west, trends in globalisation and free trade challenges and world oil price and the role of the US in the future.

Having discussed India challenges and opportunities, Farrow summarised India’s decade of growth potential with strengths, weakness and opportunities.

Along with HMDA commissioner T Chiranjeevulu and other officials, experts from LEA Group including John Farrow (International Urban Development Specialist), Alan Stanbury (International Institutional Development Specialist), Dr M P Raju, Managing Director, LEA Associates South Asia Pvt Ltd and other professionals were also present during the talk.
