Telangana govt warns theatres on Baahubali 2 combo tickets
Encashing on the \"Baahubali mania\" movie theatres have found a new way to hike the cost of the ticket. While a normal ticket costs Rs 150, the theatres in the name of combo offer are charging Rs 300 and are offering some popcorn and a soft drink.

As complaints poured in, Minister for Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Wednesday made it clear that the government had given permission only for screening fifth show of Baahubali-2: The Conclusion.
He took serious view of the theatre owners charging more from the cinegoers in the name of combo tickets and warned them of serious action. “The government will not tolerate any sort of inconvenience caused to the people,” he said.

He also asked the Commercial Taxes Department to take action against the erring theatres. Soon after that the Commercial Taxes Commissioner V Anil Kumar issued a statement saying that charging higher rates was contrary to the provisions of Telangana Entertainment Tax."
The Commissioner said that all theatre owners should collect the notified rates of ticket and pay Entertainment Tax on sale of all the tickets sold.
The government had notified that the Rs 70 ticket will be sold for Rs 100, Rs 90 ticket for Rs 150 and so on. General public could pass on any violations by any theatre owner to round-the-clock toll free number of CT Department 18004253787.
