TDP outraged over no discussion
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Telangana unit on Sunday condemned the adoption of land acquisition bill, by amending the Central Land Acquisition Act-2013, without any debate in the State Assembly.Party leaders S Venkata Veeriah and V Narendar Reddy said, preventing the opposition parties from speaking on the bill reflected the dictatorial attitude of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

They said what happened in the Assembly on Sunday was a foul stain on the face of India’s democracy. The TDP leaders also pointed out that the government did not invite TDP legislators to the BAC meeting conducted on Saturday. They wondered why the government did not lift the suspension on TDP MLAs. The leaders also took strong exception to the government for not allowing a discussion on the plight of agitating chilli farmers who failed to get remunerative prices this season.
