Digvijaya Singh: Committed to my comments on Telangana Police
After making controversial remarks against the Telangana Police saying that they are encouraging Muslim youngsters to join ISIS, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh sparked furore in the political circles.
After making controversial remarks against the Telangana Police saying that they are encouraging Muslim youngsters to join ISIS, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh sparked furore in the political circles.
However, the Congress leader chose to stick to his comments despite the heavy criticism. Stating that he is committed to the comments he made on Telangana Police, Digvijaya Singh said that he spoke on the issue only after a lot of discussions and on having proofs for his allegations.
Citing examples of having information of Sharjahpur bomb blast in MP and Kanpur's encounter by Telangana police along with the photos of the accused as proofs, he said that it is not the correct way to identify radical Muslims.
Stating that radicalisation increases with such activities, Digvijaya Singh said that the police indulging in such activities is ethically and morally wrong.
Responding to the case filed against him by the Telangana Govt, the Congress leader said that they can file any case against him but he would stick by his statement.
