Threatens to drag KCR to SC over fake ISIS site

New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and in-charge of the party affairs in Telangana, Digvijaya Singh, dug his heels further on Tuesday and continued accusing the Telangana police for "trapping Muslim youth with a fake ISIS site".

He promised to drag "Telangana Chief Minister, Telangana DGP and Telangana Home Minister to the witness box in the Supreme Court for the illegality perpetrated".

Speaking to the media, Singh said he had proof and would not budge from his position. "Let them not threaten me with cases. I am ready to face any number of them. They can go ahead and file those cases.

It is better that way. I can prove my allegations. They are welcome to do it," Digvijay Singh said. Questioning the modus operandi of the police he wondered whether "it is ethical and moral? Who has authorised them to trap Muslim youth?

Does not it encourage further radicalisation of the Muslim youth?" The very fact that the Telangana police had the photos and snaps of Saifullah who was involved in bomb blasts in Madhya Pradesh and who got later killed in an encounter in UP recently was proof enough of their involvement in luring the youth to get radicalised, he argued.

He said even the police forces of all other States took objection to the ploy of the Telangana police at a recent conference on Counter Terrorism held here a week ago.

The Telangana police provided information on the "locally bred ISIS activist Saifullah who was encountered in Lucknow," he said questioning the means adopted by the Telangana police.

The police was posting information on ISIS on the fake website only to lure Muslim youth so that the moment they contact them, such youth would be tracked to be eliminated later.

"I don't spare either the Chief Minister of Telangana, the DGP or the Home Minister in this regard. I shall drag them to the Supreme Court for such killings.

Congress party has got nothing to do with this. Why drag Rahul's name into it. It is my information and I have all the proof. I am not going to spare the Telangana Government in this regard," he said.
