Hyderabad: The government will organise World Telugu Congress in Hyderabad between June 2 and 10. The congress will be organised on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday appointed noted literary personality Nandini Sidhareddy as chairman of the Telangana Sahitya Akademi.
He instructed that the World Telugu Congress should be organised on a grand note. Later, he said the World Telugu Congress will be organised under the aegis of the newly-formed Telangana Sahitya Akademi.
The Chief Minister said that Telangana Lalitha Kala Akademi, Sangeetha Nataka Akademi and Folk Arts Akademi would be constituted to spread Telangana culture across the globe.
