A SpiceJet aircraft has been embossed with prominent tourist places in Telangana as a part of the governments efforts to promote the state among holiday -makers.

Hyderabad: A SpiceJet aircraft has been embossed with prominent tourist places in Telangana as a part of the governments efforts to promote the state among holiday -makers.

The "Telangana Tourism" branded jet, a Boeing 737-800, was today unveiled at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here, an official release said.

Tourism Minister Ajmeera Chandulal and senior officials of his department were present on the occasion.

The aircraft is adorned with lively paintings of some of the prominent tourist places of the state.

Speaking on the occasion, B Venkatesham, Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department, said the initiative has been taken to reach out to a large pool of travellers.

The aircraft will be travelling to various Indian cities besides international destinations such as Muscat and Abu Dhabi, making a minimum of 8-10 rounds per day, he said.

The Boeing has been completely branded with the tourist destinations of the state both externally and internally, the release said.

The branding exercise has been undertaken for two months and an extension will be decided based on response it receives, an official said.

The branding package costs Rs 25,00,000 per month, he added.
