Telangana Police has filed a case against Congress senior leader Digvijay Singh over his controversial comments and tweets on the government and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The complaint was filed by MLA Gopinath and the case was registered in Jubilee Hills police station.
Digvijaya Singh courted controversy after tweeting that the Telangana Police have been encouraging Muslim youth to join ISIS by creating fake accounts and later arresting them.
Even after Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao and DGP Anurag Sharma demanded an apology from the Congress leader or provide evidence on the allegations he made, the latter chose to stick to his charges and refused to apologize.
