Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP B Vinod Kumar on Sunday inaugurated a special mangoes stall at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. Along with Principal Resident Commissioner Aravind Kumar and Additional Commissioner Vedantha Giri, Vinod Kumar opened the stall which is being maintained by the Horticulture department. He said pure mangoes were being sold there. The TRS MP said no chemicals were used to ripen the mangoes and the people could purchase them for the sweet taste and aroma.

The Horticulture Department is on a mission to help mango farmers by paying 25 per cent more than local market price. Vinod Kumar said Telangana witnessed more production of mangoes this season and north India got the crop one month late. To cater to the needs of northern India, the Telangana government made this arrangement, he said. He expressed happiness over the Horticulture Department setting up a mangoes stall in Delhi. This counter was opened with a view to keep available the best quality (carbide free) ripened mangoes with an initiative of Telangana State Horticulture Development Corporation Ltd., in collaboration with e-Fresh Healthy Food Happy Life.
