Hyderabad traffic police filed 162 charge sheets against the inebriated drivers caught between May 1 and 7. Based on the charges, the designated courts awarded the punishment, according to a release.Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, A Ravinder said those who are caught and convicted for drunken driving will face difficulties in getting government jobs, passport and visa clearance.

The special drive against drunken driving will be conducted during day time also to ensure road safety, he said and appealed to the commuters to avoid driving when drunk.
