Hyderabad: State government on Monday sanctioned 1,099 posts in various Government Medical Colleges and Government General Hospitals, functioning under the administrative control of Director of Medical Education (DME), to meet the growing requirement of manpower in the health sector.

In Osmania General Hospital and Medical College alone, 299 posts including 14 Associate and 28 Assistant Professor posts would be filled.

169 posts in Gandhi Medical College and general hospital, 252 posts in Kakatiya medical college and Mahatma Gandhi medical hospital in Warangal , 189 posts in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Adilabad and 190 posts in government medical college and hospital in Nizamabad would be filled soon.
