New Delhi: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, here on Tuesday, reviewed the Telangana Bhavan issue. The review came in the wake of vandalism of the property that was caught on camera on Monday by Andhra Pradesh officials.

Telangana Additional Resident Commissioner Vedantam Giri on Monday lodged an FIR with the local police alleging trespass and illegal entry by three AP officials.

Irked by the situation, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao summoned the staff of Telangana Bhavan with all the documents ascertaining the factual position over possession of assets after bifurcation.

He was told that Telangana had only 32.4 per cent of the New Delhi property whereas Andhra Pradesh was controlling the rest and was not yielding the space according to the provisions of the bifurcation Act (58:42).

It is learnt that Chief Minister sought the exact spread of the area and how much was being used by the Andhra Pradesh

illegally. The alleged attacks on Telangana Bhavan continued on the second day with culprits tearing away Telangana Horticulture flexies, displaying the sale of mangoes from Telangana. The offenders also damaged the stall set up for the sale near the canteen.

It may be recalled that on Monday, officials of both AP and Telangana, were involved in a spat over locking of the premises of the Resident Commissioner's bungalow by the latter on security grounds.

Telangana assistant commissioner, Rammohan claimed that the Telangana officials argued over the issue, as the bungalow was under its control and strangers were being accommodated in the bungalow, which is on rent, by AP officials. Secondly, the bungalow is adjacent to the Sabari VVIP block in which the Chief Minister, Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Ministers, DGP and CS are accommodated during their visits to the capital.

AP officials broke the locks of the bungalows and entered into an argument with Telangana officials and subsequently, the latter filed an FIR with the local police charging the officials responsible for the vandalism with trespassing and illegal entry into Government property.

On Tuesday the officials vandalised the Horticulture stall set up by the Telangana government. AP officials were reluctant to talk to media.
