Hyderabad: BJP national president Amit Shah, during his three-day visit to the State between May 22 and 24, will hold a brainstorm exercise with the party’s booth-level workers to chalk out a strategy with an eye on the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. The Hyderabad Lok Sabha Constituency has remained a bastion of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.

The exercise assumes importance since the BJP chief proposes to reach out to all the leaders and workers down to the booth level, so that a road map for 2019 elections can be drawn. During his three-day visit, Amit Shah is scheduled to take part in the various programmes like ‘Vistarak’ aimed at reaching out 32,000 polling booths to strengthen the party.

According to the party leaders, the BJP president will visit Nalgonda district and travel to different villages and take part in review meetings with party leaders, meet booth-level workers and hold brainstorm exercise with the senior leaders.

The BJP chief will stay for two days in the Nalgonda district, where he is scheduled to meet leaders of different castes and take part in the community lunch.

Later, on May 24, Shah is scheduled to take part in the booth- level meeting of the party under the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency to chalk out a strategy to wrest the seat from the MIM. Sources said the BJP leader would visit a house of the BJP worker in Arundhatinagar slum near Shalibanda and have food in his house.

Sources said the BJP president, during recently held party’s national executive meeting, asked the Telangana State party leaders to suggest a Lok Sabha constituency in the State for holding a brainstorm exercise with booth-level party workers.

A section of leaders suggested that Shah may hold the exercise in Medak as it happens to be the Chief Minister constituency from which he was elected to Lok Sabha in the past.

Some others suggested that the party president may hold the exercise in either Mahbubnagar or Secunderabad. But, Shah wondered why he should not hold the exercise in the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency.

Telangana State BJP unit president K Laxman said the BJP would go ahead with a slogan ‘Grow Alone Go Alone’ in the State.
