Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram called upon the people to come to Hyderabad city in thousands to stage dharnas if the State government refused to give permission to the ‘Chalo Dharna Chowk’ programme to be organised on May 15.
Hyderabad: Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram called upon the people to come to Hyderabad city in thousands to stage dharnas if the State government refused to give permission to the ‘Chalo Dharna Chowk’ programme to be organised on May 15.
Addressing the 29th day protest programme at Maqdoom Bhavan in the name of ‘Save Dharna Chowk’ here on Saturday demanding that the State government revive the Dharna Chowk at Indira Park, Kodandaram hoped that the government would respond positively on ‘Occupy Dharna Chowk’ programme.
“Otherwise, the people have to change the entire city as a dharna chowk by staging protest programmes everywhere in the city,” he said.The State government should convene an all-party meeting at least now and take a decision taking the opinion of all parties into consideration instead of unilateral decision, he said. Eminent writers Shiva Reddy, Sujatha, Rythu Sangam leader Banda Chandra Reddy, social activist M Krishna Prasad also spoke.
