Handcuffing of farmers: KCR flays Opposition for holding Govt responsible

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday responded to the issue of farmers being handcuffed by the police on the way to a court in Khammam district.

Saying that the local police showed over enthusiasm, KCR criticized the Opposition for holding the government responsible for the incident and in turn gain political mileage.

Speaking at a meeting with poets and artists at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister mentioned that he hails from a farmers' family and holds respect for the occupation of farming.

He further lashed out at the Left parties for staging protests on unnecessary issues.
