Karimnagar: Two killed in road mishap

Karimnagar: Two persons, including a woman, were today killed in road accident in Jagtial district, police said.

A truck, which was going to Chhattisgarh, hit a tree and then a woman, who was standing in front of her house at Kapparaopet village, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jagtial, T Karunakar.

The woman identified as Polaveni Jamuna (40) was killed on the spot, while the trucks driver Rajkumar Marar (41), succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital, the officer said.

Their bodies have been sent for post mortem, he said, adding a probe was on.
