Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said that a daily assessment should be conducted on the performing duties of officers belonging to the civic body.

The commissioner while reviewing the various upcoming schemes by the Urban Community Development (UCD) said it is UDC departments’ responsibility to provide the public with better living tools through community development schemes.

The GHMC under the Urban Community Development department will be launching various new community development programmes such as constructing e-Libraries, better Bank linkages, implementing Deepam scheme, Night Shelters, street vending surveys, community hall construction, Digitalisation, Community toilets construction survey, Single woman pension schemes, Women Health Summit, Self employment schemes, Shelter less people survey, Day Care centres, and etc.

GHMC commissioner asked the various officials of UDC to have a regular assessment on the implementation of the said schemes as well as to work on immediate solutions for the rising problems on a daily basis to achieve the above mentioned schemes and survey.

Looking at the various numbers of new schemes, the commissioner advised the UDC department to divide the work among their respective section to make sure that no scheme is left incomplete. He asked the UDC department to start working on the most important schemes observed lacking in various communities without any further delay.
