Hyderabad: The State BJP president K Laxman said that the administration of the TRS government was not on expected lines and hence the BJP would use Brahmastra during the 2019 elections.

At a meet the press programme here on Tuesday, he said the BJP is on a mission mode to gain power in Telangana and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be its ‘Brahmastra’ for the electoral battle. “This ‘Brahmastra’ is more powerful than an atom bomb. We will release this ‘Brahmastra’ in 2019,” Laxman said.

Laxman ruled out the possibility of BJP having an alliance with TRS. He said that BJP alone has the strength to fight with TRS. He said the people’s confidence in Congress and TDP vanished after several MLAs from the two parties switched loyalties to the ruling TRS.

Replying to questions, he said the State BJP would go aggressive after the visit of Amit Shah on May 22. Shah would interact with booth level party workers and also people belonging to different sections to strengthen the BJP from the grass root level.

He said that that the SCs, Backward Classes and Minorities have lost confidence in other major parties. These sections are now looking towards the BJP.

The party aims to take the fruits of development to the poor and downtrodden. Laxman said the BJP would win the Hyderabad LS seat with the support of the poor Muslims. “When it can happen in Assam, Uttar Pradesh, why not in Telangana,” he said.
