GHMC organises Job Mela for youth
In order to provide jobs to unemployed youth, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday conducted a job mela at Harihara Kala Bhavan in North Zone.
Hyderabad: In order to provide jobs to unemployed youth, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday conducted a job mela at Harihara Kala Bhavan in North Zone.
While addressing the gathering, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said the unemployed youth must come forward to utilise this opportunity and should attend interviews in order to get jobs.
Similar job melas were organised in the past which helped most of the unemployed youth with jobs. The Urban Community Development (UCD) wing of GHMC is striving hard, duly coordinating with the corporate companies to join hands with the civic body, to provide jobs for the unemployed youth, he added.
The GHMC commissioner said that around 45 corporate companies like BIG C, Innova Source, Muthoot Finance, ARK Technologies, ADECCO India Pvt. Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank, Vodafone and other companies have come forward and joined hands with GHMC to provide jobs for unemployed youth. 967 out of work youth participated in the job mela and about 300 got placements.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin said the Telangana government is very keen to help the unemployed youth get jobs as per their qualifications. The GHMC is trying its level best to help the youth with their designated jobs.
