500 old artistes to get pension
State Tourism and Culture Minister A Chandulal on Friday instructed the district authorities to organise Telangana Formation Day on June 2 in a befitting manner.The Minister announced that 500 aged artistes would be provided pension in all districts and awards will be presented to noted personalities in ten different categories of every district.

Chandulal accompanied by State Advisor (Culture) K V Ramana Chary held a video conference with all District Collectors and enquired about the arrangements being made for the Formation Day celebrations. He asked the Collectors to forward the names of pensioners to the State government for immediate approval.
The Minister said Rs 5 lakh would be released to each district for the celebrations. The authorities were asked to conduct cultural programmes, blood donation camps and distribution of fruits and sweets in hospitals and educational
institutions.
Chandulal instructed the officials to make arrangements for the international Kite festival on the eve Sankranthi in Hyderabad, Warangal, Yadadri – Bhongir and Karimnagar districts. The Minister also asked the authorities to forward the utilisation certificates on the expenditure incurred in Bathukamma festival last year. State Tourism Secretary B Venkatesham was also present in the meeting.
