Cultural troupe from Haryana to perform on Telangana State Formation Day Fete
Telangana State Formation Day celebrations on June 2 will follow the concept of Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat and it will include a cultural programme from Haryana. A special troupe would be arriving to perform at Parade Grounds. Different cultural programmes are being organised at Parade Grounds, People’s Plaza and Ravindra Bharathi on the Formation Day.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Formation Day celebrations on June 2 will follow the concept of Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat and it will include a cultural programme from Haryana. A special troupe would be arriving to perform at Parade Grounds. Different cultural programmes are being organised at Parade Grounds, People’s Plaza and Ravindra Bharathi on the Formation Day.
In accordance with the memorandum of understanding (MoU) entered with Haryana government, a contingent cultural troupe to perform on the State Formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds has been deputed. Apart from cultural programmes, Telangana food festival would also be organised in different parts of city.
To mark the occasion, all the historical structures, including Raj Bhavan, Charminar, state Assembly and Secretariat and district head offices will be decorated for a week. Chief Secretary S P Singh on Saturday reviewed the arrangements being made for the successful conduct of the celebrations.
All Secretaries of the Departments in the Secretariat attended the review meeting. He directed the Municipal Administration and Urban Development authorities to install LED TVs at the main junctions to facilitate the people to watch the celebrations live in the city. He also asked the officials to make arrangements for the distribution of sweets and fruits to the poor at hospitals and orphanage centres.
The official said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will present awards to 50 noted personalities excelled in different fields. Before attending the celebrations, KCR would pay floral tributes to Telangana martyrs at Martyrs memorial in the city. Special Chief Secretaries Ajay Mishra, Aadhar Sinha and others were also present in the meeting.
