Hanamkonda: Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari directed the officials to prepare a detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed development works in Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) limits.Heading a review meeting at the Collectorate here on Saturday, he said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, with a view to develop Warangal as a model city, had allocated Rs 300 crore. This apart, the Chief Minister also suggested a few measures for the overall development of the city.

"Although the GWMC got administrative sanctions for Rs 291.99 crore works, the authority is yet to prepare DPRs for them. It is now time to expedite the process," Srihari said. He directed the officials to identify the bottlenecks that have been hampering the development works in the city so that they will be taken to the notice of the Chief Minister.

Emphasising the need to turn Warangal into a green city, he told the forest department officials to send their proposals.
Warangal MP P Dayakar, Mayor N Narender, legislators Konda Surekha, D Vinay Bhaskar, Aruru Ramesh, District Collector Amrapali Kata, Municipal Commissioner Sruthi Ozha and KUDA Chairman Marri Yadava Reddy were among others who participated in the meeting.
