Nearly 35,000 devotees visit the temple on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti

Bhadrachalam: A huge number of Hanuman devotees performed special pujas in Bhadradri Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple as part of Hanuman Jayanti celebrations here on Sunday. Devotees who took Hanuma Deeksha came to the temple to redeem their vows.

The devotees, from both the Telugu States, reached Bhadrachalam on Saturday evening itself. Special arrangements were made for the pilgrims on the occasion. Meanwhile on Sunday early hours, the devotees took a holy dip in the River Godavari and had darshan of presiding deities. They concluded their deeksha at the Hanuman temple located on the premises of the Rama temple. On the day, they also visited Parnasala and performed special pujas.

In the occasion the temple roads and surroundings bulged with the rush of Hanuman devotes. Speaking to The Hans India, temple Executive Officer P Srinivas Prabhakar said nearly 35,000 devotees had visited the temple on the account of Hanuman Jayanti.

He added that 1.5 lakh laddus were sold on the day. A Hanuman devote from Warangal T Rama Naik said, “I am very happy to have darshan of the Lord on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The temple authorities have made foolproof arrangements for the convenience of devotees.”
