Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya said Germany had evinced interest in collaborating with India in training youth in various trades.Briefing about the G20 Labour Ministers’ Conference which he had attended, Dattatreya said several other countries showed interest in entering into Memorandum of Understanding with India in this regard. He said some of them had sought details about the EPFO investments in Exchange Traded Funds.

He said the G20 Labour Ministers’ Conference lauded the initiatives of the Modi government's labour and employment policies. Dattatreya said he also had bilateral talks with Labour Ministers of the UK, Argentina, Russia and Saudi Arabia and discussed the problems of the workers in unorganised sector and their security related issues.

The Minister said the government was considering to expand digitisation in a big way in Telangana State, especially in Warangal, Zaheerabad, Ramagundam and in the surrounding areas of Hyderabad. The government was of the view that technical skills of Engineering graduates should be further enhanced, he added.
