Minister seeks NRI help to boost TS growth
Transport Minister Patnam Mahendar Reddy called upon the Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) living in the United States of America to extend wholehearted cooperation and give their mite for transforming the State into Bangaru Telangana like determined Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who spared no efforts and compelled the Centre to concede separate State.

Participating in Telangana State Formation Day celebration ‘Meet & Greet’ organised by Telugu associations - AATA, GATA, TATA and TANA - in America at Cumming Skyland Business Centre in Georgia, Mahendar Reddy said development in both the Telugu States was going on expeditiously after the bifurcation of the then united Andhra Pradesh.
Stating that Telangana State was developing fast in the last three years with Chandrasekhar Rao implementing unique programmes, which were being hailed and emulated by the other States in the country, Mahendar Reddy said Telangana would become industrially strong with many investors coming forward to set up their units in the State due to attractive incentives and liberal policy announced by the Chief Minister.
Stating that the historic Mission Kakatiya Scheme would turn thousands of acres of dry lands in the State green, Mahendar appealed to the NRIs to adopt water tanks in their native places and help water-starved farmers. Pointing out that the Chief Minister came to the rescue of the dwindling TSRTC by releasing Rs 2,000 crore, the Minister appealed to the NRIs to adopt depots and give fresh lease of life to them.
