Rahul’s meeting will expose TRS
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has said that All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president Rahul Gandhi\'s public meeting, christened as Praja Garjana, at Sangareddy on June 1, will expose the failures of the TRS government.
,Hanamkonda: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has said that All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president Rahul Gandhi's public meeting, christened as Praja Garjana, at Sangareddy on June 1, will expose the failures of the TRS government.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Bhavan here on Sunday, he held the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao responsible for farm crisis in the State. “TRS deceived the people who had voted them to power,” Reddy said, referring to the failures of the ruling party.
Holding KCR accountable for the ongoing agrarian crisis in the State, he said the government which was implementing crop loan waiver in phase-wise was yet to fulfill its commitment. The government which assured to take care of bank interests of the crop loans didn't fulfill it, he alleged. “While the neighbouring States have been providing support price to chilli growers, the TRS has no concern towards the growers.
This apart, the State is yet to react on Centre's proposal to provide support price to chilli farmers,” he said, accusing KCR of being insensitive towards cultivators. Reimbursement of fee is another issue the TRS had totally forgotten and has been playing with the lives of students, he said, adding that jobless youth were angry with KCR as he conveniently forgot his promise of providing a government job each to every household.
Earlier, Reddy garlanded the statue of Rajiv Gandhi at MGM Centre on the occasion of his 26th death anniversary. He also attended the wedding of Congress Mahila district president Poshala Padma Goud's daughter. Party DCC president N Rajender Reddy, former Union Minister Balaram Naik, Narsampet MLA Donti Madhava Reddy, Dr Vijaya Rama Rao, Podem Veeraiah, Kondeti Sridhar, TPCC leaders Azmath Hussain, EV Srinivas Rao, Bathini Srinivas, B Prabhakar Reddy, Namindla Srinivas, former Mayor E Swarna, E Venkatram Reddy, Bhuvanagiri Arogyam and Greater Warangal working president Rajanala Srihari were among others present.
