All arrangements made at fish medicine venue

​Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday said elaborate arrangements have been made for the two-day “Fish Prasadam” distribution on Mrigasira Karthi day June 8 and 9.

The minister inspected the arrangements at the Exhibition Grounds at Nampally along with officials. He said Fish prasadam will be administered to any number of people come to the venue. He instructed the officials to coordinate and make fool-proof arrangements for the fish prasadam distribution for which lakhs of people from various States and a few other countries pour into the city.

Appreciating Bathina Harinath Goud brothers, Talasani asked them to make use of volunteers to work in shifts for smooth conduct of fish prasadam distribution. There is no paucity for fishlings to be distributed, he said and asked the officials to keep adequate number to avoid inconvenience.

The Minister also asked Agarwal Seva Samithi organisers to make arrangements as usual for providing breakfast and meals to the people coming to the venue for fish prasadam. He asked the officials of various departments to provide uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, sanitation, regular removal of garbage, barricading, fire tenders and bandobust and others. Separate queue lines and counters will be kept open for the use of physically challenged, women and children at the venue to accept fish prasadam, he said.

Directing the Information Department officials to conduct wide ranging publicity on the two-day event, the minister asked the Fire Services department to deploy adequate number of Fire tenders to meet any eventuality. He also asked the police to make special efforts for better security arrangements and ensure law and order. He also said since lakhs of people throng the venue for the fish prasadam, there shall not be any chance for stampede and chaos.
