A resolution passed at the meeting said it was all the more reprehensible if it was in the name of ‘honour killing’. Later, AIMA members held a candle light prayer for the departed youth.

Hyderabad: The All India Malayalees’ Association (AIMA), Telangana unit, which met at Malanadu Fine Arts Club auditorium unequivocally condemned the alleged murder of Amit Nair, a youth in Jaipur. A resolution passed at the meeting said it was all the more reprehensible if it was in the name of ‘honour killing’. Later, AIMA members held a candle light prayer for the departed youth.

“We understand the agony and pain of the innocent wife and parents who are deprived of their dear son at a prime age. The AIMA Telangana unit demands that the killers be brought before the law and maximum punishment be given to them,” the resolution said.

AIMA State unit expressed its solidarity with the rest of the AIMA units and other Malayalee associations all over the country in this matter. President of AIMA, Telangana, TSC Prasad, secretary M K Sasikumar, treasurer T V Verghese, Quick Response Team (QRT) leader Jibu Pappachan among others were present.
