Singareni Collieries Company Limited proposes 800 mw power plant at Jaipur

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has come out with a proposal to establish another super critical thermal power plant of 800 mw capacity at Jaipur mandal in Mancheryal district in addition to the 2 x 600 mw plant which was commissioned recently.

At the 540th meeting of the SCCL Board here, the company Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar put the proposal to seek the opinion of the directors. The meeting in principle decided to take up the project after mobilising required funds. The board members also discussed about coal production and transportation to increase business prospects in the future. Telangana state Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao and others were also present at the meeting.
