Hyderabad: Communist Party of India (CPI) general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy here on Monday said the interference of RSS in government activities has amplified as Central Ministers are summoned to the RSS office and ordered to work as per their directions.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers are now Chief Ministers, party general secretaries and even Governors, which clearly indicates how the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to mould India, he said. Speaking at Meet the Press programme on Monday, Reddy said three years of NDA rule had been nothing but disaster for the country as the poor is becoming poorer and rich becoming richer.

CPI leader said that under the Modi rule, 58 per cent of income was in the hands of just one per cent of rich community and the remaining 42 per cent income was divided among 99 per cent of the people. He also objected to disinvestment in profit-earning companies such as LIC and ONGC.

Coming down heavily on the central government for imposing ban slaughter houses, Reddy said, “India is a country of different religions, cultures and languages the Central government should protect the interests of every citizen. In Telangana, 99 per cent of the population is non-vegetarian and in Kerala, 90 per cent of the people are non-vegetarian.
