SCR GM conducts safety meeting
South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Monday conducted a Safety Review Meeting at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with the Principle Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded also participated through a video conference.Â
​Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Monday conducted a Safety Review Meeting at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with the Principle Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded also participated through a video conference.
The General Manager reviewed the safety aspects of the Zone including derailments occurring in yards, Loco derailments and unsafe working like gate open cases etc. He instructed the officials to take corrective measures to avoid such instances in future and advised them to avoid short cut methods to enhance safety.
Discussing punctuality, the GM instructed all the Divisional Railway Managers to make an action plan to improve punctuality and to avoid unsafe working which affects punctuality and safety. He also advised them to identify the root causes for asset failures and take corrective measures to bring out System Improvements.
Earlier, Vinod Kumar Yadav released a short film on awareness of Safety in view of International Level Crossing Awareness Week which will be observed from 29 May to 2 June. Later, the General Manager presented the Man of the Month award to the staff for rendering commendable services. Additional General Manger S N Singh and other senior officials were also present.
